Happy Blogiversary to Me!

So four years ago June I started blogging. I'm a bit behind with the give away because I had a bit of a tummy bug and got too distracted to sew up the lining of the bag (I've still not sewn it up, but I promise I will by the time I post it out with your other goodies). If you looked in the blog archive though you'd see my first ever blog post was in July 2007 so I figure I'm still in the rough area of my blogiversary...give or take a year.

As is customary with blogiversaries I've decided to do a little give away. So what can you win? Well, how about this bag and the other goodies in the picture; which as luck would have it, all fit inside the bag.

The bag was whipped up using the super quick and simple tutorial by Svetlana. I do like making bags and see more of these in my future.

Jack and Jenny tote Bag

What do you need to do to win? Well, just leave me a comment. Tell me anything you like or if the thought of that has made your mind go blank. How about you tell me what is your all time favourite fabric and if you ever got your hands on some?

You can have a second comment if you're NOT going to the Fat Quarterly Retreat. It seems we all need some extra consolation if we're not going.

This give away is open to anyone anywhere and will remain open until Friday 25 July 2014 2pm GMT time.

Congrats! 4 years is a long time, I started a blog, but I'm not sure if I can manage to keep it up... I guess I just love sewing and reading about sewing more than blogging... ;)

Love the donkeys!!

And I'm not in the UK, but searched the retreat, seems like fun, but too far away for me I think... :>

Favorite fabric? Just one? I've never had any but I love the blue basket weave from Katie Jump Rope.

I'm not going either :0( Someone decided six years ago that mid July would be a good time to make an appearance so I have a second birthday cake to make and a pool party to attend!

Congratulations on your Anniversary! I am working on my third year! I have been searching down old Tula Pink lines but Cotton & Steel I think will be my new obsession ! I love the donkeys in rain boots! Laurie's lines are always fun! I just love your giveaway! Thank you and I wish you many more years blogging!

Happy bloggy birthday!! I love that bag, the donkeys are really cute! Favourite fabric? I'm not sure I have one *searches memory banks for clues* *comes up empty* Can I claim anything dotty or stripy as my favourite?!!!

I'm not going to the retreat but I am going to a party for a three year old...am I still allowed an extra entry?!! Or does it entitle me to a third entry on the grounds of possible suffering?! Especially if the forecast is right - she's looking forward to having a little bouncy castle in the garden and is going to be inconsolable if it gets rained off...

Happy Blogaversary!

For today, I'd say my favorite fabric is any batik!

I, too, am not going to the Fat Quarter Retreat. Along with lack-o-funds, my passport needs to be renewed!

memmens said...

Not sure I have a favourite fabric, but funnily enough being on a fabric fast has made me want ALL the fabric!

memmens said...

Oh yeah I'm not going to retreat, I'm going to a preschool sports day, school extravaganza and then a preschool fete on Saturday! Hoping to get a quilt quilted too! Not sulking.

I do love the old school Heather Ross stuff, but only have scraps that friends have kindly donated as it was well before my quilty time

It's a toss up between the blue octopus from Salt Water and the Green and pink frog from Prince Charming.

I'm not going either. I had to sell back my ticket when our car died and made international travel impossible budget-wise.

I have a little piece of happy fabric with bugs, butterflies and such on it that is my favourite fabric ever. I started out with a fat quarter of it and still have a little piece. I guess I hoard it...

I am so not going to the Fat Quarter Retreat. Not that I wouldn't LOVE to but it would be a major event for me. I've already had a big trip this year...

haven't stumbled on my favorite fabric yet. I used to like bright colors a lot , now I'm more drawn to 'natural' colors, and will probably do so for a while before finding another 'favorite'... The bag looks lovely (with super-cute fabric! love the donkeys :-) )! Congratulations on your bloggiversary!!

m said...

ah and I didn't go to the FQR. Too far away for me!
